Featured Artists and Auction Items
For the 10th anniversary of Soup for the Soul, we were excited to feature four local artists during the silent auction. These talented artists were on-hand at the event on March 18th to talk with guests and share insights into their artwork. A percentage from their sales at Soup for the Soul was donated back to Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice.
Jan Klimper
Clay has been Jan’s hobby since she first worked with it in high school. She continued studies under Tom Marsh at the University of Louisville (KY) and pursued independent study after college. When Jan moved from KY to CO in 1988, she had the good fortune to gain membership in Castle Clay Artist’s co-op where she continues her explorations in clay today. Because Jan works full time outside of the studio, she began creating ceramic jewelry as something that could be done solely at her home. It's become her new passion with endless possibilities where Jan can combine different mediums into wearable works of art. To view her work, click here.

Ramsey Stabler
Ramsay Stabler was born in the great state of Delaware, but it was not until a job running a school brought him to Denver that he fell in love with taking pictures. Actually, he fell in love with all the new places that he was able to see once he moved west, and he took his camera along for company. The digital cameras today make it possible to capture great images, but the real "art" of photography for Ramsay is just being lucky enough to go to some pretty terrific spots on this planet and bringing home visual examples of the beauty and culture found there. He is often seen with his wife, Holly, a hospice volunteer, and his four boys, ages 26 to 19.
Julie Vincelette
Julie has been making pottery for over 12 years. Her formal art education is in drawing and painting, with a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder. All of her low fire earthenware pottery pieces are hand-painted with bright colors and bold designs, making each one a unique piece of functional art. The glazes and under glazes are all lead-free and non-toxic making the pieces functional for everyday. Julie enjoys making pieces that she knows will add pleasure to people’s daily lives. She recommends hand washing your pieces and treating them like the one of a kind pieces of art that they are!! Julie is lucky enough to be able to have a home studio where she creates and feels blessed to be able to spend so much time with her family. Julie is also happy to do custom work be it a design, or personalizing an item to make a special gift. To view Julie's work, click here.
